Abstract

The RoboPisces project aims at improving students’ achievement and engage-ment in STEAM by means of Educational Robotics. At the moment COVID-19 impacted some project’s activities, but the shortcomings were turned into possi-bilities. Before COVID-19 many teaching methodologies relied on active learning and close relationships in the classroom (e.g. sharing materials, peers tutoring). COVID-19 turned this world upside-down with online teaching, social distanc-ing and other pandemic-related measures. This paper describes the structure and the activities of the project, that will have three main intellectual outputs: a teach-ers’ training manual, an educational curriculum and a toolkit. Notably, the project will carry out an extensive evaluation of the impact of the project’s activities.
